Solidarity Stand Demanding Disclosure of the Fate of the Missing and Enforced Disappearances
The Al-Nidal Association for Human Rights participated, along with a group of civil society organizations, in a large solidarity stand organized by the families of victims of enforced disappearance and missing persons in Baghdad, on the occasion of the International Day of Remembrance for Victims of Enforced Disappearance. The event aimed to demand the disclosure of the fate of the missing.
The stand was characterized by a significant presence of women and children who suffer from the loss of husbands and fathers, adding a poignant humanitarian dimension to the event.
Participants raised slogans urging the government and relevant authorities to take serious and effective steps to reveal the fate of the missing, emphasizing the importance of joint efforts between civil organizations and the government to ensure the rights of these victims and their families.
The ongoing suffering of families mourning the loss of their loved ones was highlighted, with demands for their right to know and seek justice.
This stand is part of the continuous efforts of civil society and the families of the victims to draw attention to the issues of the missing and forcibly disappeared, and to raise public awareness about this phenomenon, which leaves deep scars on society as a whole.
