National campaign to amend the draft law on freedom of expression of opinion in Wasit

Al-Nidal Society for Human Rights, in cooperation with Sama Organization for Psychological Support, organized the fourth dialogue session in #Wasit Governorate with officials, decision-makers, politicians, activists, local organizations, and a number of candidates for the Iraqi House of Representatives. The amendment to the draft freedom of expression, assembly, and peaceful demonstration, the amended 2010 version, and the 2023 draft were discussed, and Coming up with recommendations to the central government in the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, represented by the Committee to Amend the Draft on Freedom of Expression and Peaceful Demonstration before it is legislated by the House of Representatives.
